Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Effective Date · May 14, 2026

Water Damage Repair USA ("we," "our," "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use our website at waterdamagerepair-usa.com (the "Site"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Water Damage Repair USA is an independent lead generation platform connecting U.S. homeowners with licensed restoration contractors.

1. Information We Collect

When you use our Site or submit a request through our forms, we may collect the following types of information:

  • Information you provide directly: name, telephone number, email address, ZIP code, property address (when relevant), type of damage, and any free-text details you include in a form.
  • Automatically collected information: IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages visited, time spent on pages, and similar usage data.
  • Cookies and tracking technologies: first-party and third-party cookies (including Google Analytics), pixel tags, and similar identifiers used to measure traffic, improve the Site, and support marketing.
  • Communications: records of phone calls, text messages, and emails between you and us, which may be recorded or logged for quality and compliance purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Match you with licensed restoration contractors in our network who service your area.
  • Contact you about your service request by phone, SMS, and email.
  • Send transactional messages (appointment confirmations, status updates, and follow-up).
  • Send marketing communications about restoration services, prevention tips, and seasonal offers (you can opt out at any time).
  • Measure Site performance, optimize user experience, and conduct analytics.
  • Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, and abuse.
  • Comply with legal obligations, respond to law enforcement requests, and protect our rights.

3. TCPA Consent Disclosure

By submitting a form on our Site and providing your phone number, you expressly consent to receive calls and text messages — including via automated telephone dialing systems (ATDS) and pre-recorded or artificial voice messages — from Water Damage Repair USA and its network of licensed restoration contractors regarding your service request and related restoration services. Your consent is not a condition of purchase. Message and data rates from your carrier may apply.

You may revoke this consent at any time by replying STOP to any text message, by emailing us at [email protected] with "OPT OUT" in the subject line, or by asking the caller to remove your number from the list.

See our dedicated TCPA Disclosure for more detail.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information with the following categories of recipients:

  • Licensed restoration contractors: when you submit a service request, your name, phone number, email, ZIP code, and request details are shared with one or more licensed contractors in our network who serve your area. Those contractors are independent businesses; their use of your information is governed by their own privacy policies.
  • Service providers: hosting providers, analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics), customer relationship management tools, telephony and SMS providers, and similar vendors who help us operate the Site and our services.
  • Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, subpoena, or to protect our legal rights or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the successor entity.

We do not sell your personal information for monetary consideration. Lead-sharing with our contractor network is the core of the service you have requested.

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use standard cookies and similar technologies to operate and improve the Site. These include strictly necessary cookies (required for the Site to function), analytics cookies (Google Analytics), and marketing/attribution cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so may impact functionality. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by applicable law.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the services you requested, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. TCPA consent records and related communications logs are retained for a minimum of four (4) years as required by law. You can request deletion of your information as described in the "Your Rights" section below.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correction: request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Deletion: request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Opt-out of marketing: unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link at the bottom of any such email, or reply STOP to text messages.
  • Opt-out of "sales" or "sharing": for California and certain other state residents, see the section below.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 30–45 days).

9. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA"), provides you with additional rights regarding your personal information:

  • The right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose about you.
  • The right to delete personal information we have collected from you.
  • The right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • The right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (note: we do not sell personal information for monetary consideration, but California law defines "sharing" broadly — to opt out, email [email protected]).
  • The right to limit use of sensitive personal information.
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights.

To exercise any California-specific rights, email [email protected] with "CA Rights Request" in the subject line. We will verify your identity before processing the request.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-Party Links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before submitting any information.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or by prominent notice on our Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
